People Smuggler Jailed and Deported from UK

People-smuggling operation dismantled by authorities.
Ukrainian nationals Vladyslav Cherniavskyi and Oleksandr Yavtushenko, have been convicted of running a people-smuggling racket across the Channel, using a yacht to charge up to £13,000 per person for illegal entry into the UK.
Vladyslav Cherniavskyi and his accomplice made at least eight crossings from northern France. Their operation was stopped when their yacht was intercepted off the Sussex coast with five Albanian men and a young Vietnamese girl on board.
He was jailed for six years. He has now been deported.
People smugglers do not care about the people they exploit or the lives they put at risk. They see vulnerable people as a way to make money and our borders as something to profit from.
Since the election, more than 80,000 immigration offenders and people with no right to be in the UK have been returned, including nearly 12,000 foreign criminals.
The message is clear: if you profit from illegal migration, undermine our borders and break our laws, you will face justice and removal.
