14 MILLION CONSULTATIONS AND NOW PHARMACY FIRST IS EXPANDING.

Since Pharmacy First launched in February 2024, community pharmacies have delivered 14 million consultations across England, including:

🔴 Two million for acute sore throats

🔴 More than 1.7 million for urinary tract infections

🔴 Millions more for conditions including sinusitis, shingles and infected insect bites

The service is now being expanded through participating pharmacies to cover migraines, acne, ear infections, rhinitis and scabies.

Once fully rolled out, an estimated two to three million consultations for these five conditions could take place in community pharmacies every year.

That means quicker care closer to home and less pressure on our GPs and A&E departments.
