Prime Minister Pledges Support for Teesside Communities

Today, Andy Burnham gave his first statement as Prime Minister, setting out the direction of the Government.

He spoke about the tragedy our area has faced, expressing his deepest condolences to the families, friends and loved ones of PC Matthew Blades and PC Tom Clough. He pledged that the Government would do its best to support our communities through this incredibly difficult time.

Andy also recognised the case we are making for more funding and more officers for Cleveland Police. I will keep making that case alongside my fellow Teesside MPs.
