HAVE YOUR SAY ON FIREWORKS

Fireworks create brilliant memories and play an important part in celebrations, but the loudest can also cause distress to people, pets and wildlife.

The Government is considering changing the rules. Please complete this short questionnaire and tell us what you think.

Personal details

All fields are required.

Question 1. Should the loudest fireworks be restricted to professional displays only?

This would still allow public firework displays and quieter fireworks for responsible use at home.

Question 2. Should fireworks sold to the public be made quieter?

The current maximum is 120 decibels. The Government is considering lowering this limit.

Question 3. Are there any types of fireworks that the public should no longer be allowed to buy?

This could include fireworks that are particularly loud, dangerous or commonly used in antisocial behaviour.

Question 4. What effect do fireworks have on you, your family or your local area?

Select everything that applies and tell us about any experiences you think the Government should hear.

Question 5. What do you think would be the fairest approach to fireworks?

The Government wants celebrations to continue while reducing distress, danger and antisocial behaviour.

Question 6. Is there anything else you would like to tell us about fireworks?
